QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) — The Quincy Police Department Investigations Division was able to develop a suspect in the shooting that took place in the 1100 block of Jefferson Street on Wednesday.

The Quincy Police Department says the Adams County State's Attorney's Office obtained an arrest warrant for Victor A. Weems, III for Aggravated Discharge of a Firearm.
Weems is considered armed and dangerous and was already a wanted fugitive for Home Invasion, Endangering the Welfare of a child, Obstructing Identification, and Aggravated Battery.
Police say If you see Victor Weems III, to call the local authorities and let them know about his whereabouts.
On Wednesday, QPD responded to the 1100 block of Jefferson Street in Quincy late Wednesday night after a report of shots fired.
When QPD officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound.
The 47-year-old victim was taken to Blessing Hospital by ambulance and then life-flighted to Springfield, Illinois.
Sergeant Nick Hiland with the Quincy Police Department could not speak to the nature of her injuries.
QPD taped off two areas near the shooting.
One area was The LaGondola Restaurant parking lot and the other was a house where the victim was found.
Hiland said there was some sort of incident in the parking lot and are currently investigating to see if it's related to the shooting.
The Quincy Police Department was assisted by the Adams County Sheriff's Department along with the Illinois State Police.
