Missouri farmers beware of destructive weed

The Missouri Farm Bureau now warns farmers of a destructive weed.

It's called "palmer amaranth".

Once it gets into your field it spreads aggressively and is nearly impossible to get rid of.

So far, it's been found in fields seeded for pollinator habitat.

If you have planted this type of seed make sure to monitor your field.

Also, if you have not yet planted your seeds, get them tested before doing so.

For more information, contact the Missouri Farm Bureau.
