Harvestville Farm, located in Donnellson, Iowa is gearing up for a big weekend.

The fifth generation farm will kick off its fall season full of activities.

Final preparations are taking place to kick off this weekend’s events. Thousands of people are scheduled to walk rows in their unique 10-acre corn maze.

The owners of the Harvestville Farm have teamed up with the Tri-State Rodeo this year to design a unique maze that is fun for all.

Hohl also said, “We love the rodeo just because it is a very family-oriented event, just like we are.”
Co-owner Adam Hohl says, “Oh, we are thrilled. This is our favorite time of the year. It's fun to see so many returning faces, lots of new faces."

Harvestville Farm is your one-stop shop for a day of family fun. Many different activities are happening throughout the farm each day.

“We do have some special weekend events. We have the Airvac helicopter comes and lands on a Sunday; we have Nauvoo on the road that comes,” said Hohl.

Starting September 23rd, the pumpkin patch will open for those to make that perfect pick.

They not only have the original orange pumpkins but also many other kinds.

You may notice the pumpkins are a bit weedier than in years before. That is due to the lack of rainfall not activating the pesticide to eliminate weeds.

After picking that perfect pumpkin, there is a wide variety of decor for sale in the barn.

Julie Hohl Co-owner of Harvestville Farm says, “A lot of it is either primitives, or it is country or it is something that reminds you we order from some companies that are from southeast Iowa.”

The farm is a three season farm opening in April and closing in late December.
