Hannibal Regional Auxillary teams up with funeral home to provide memory boxes
The loss of a loved one is never easy especially if that one is a child.
Hannibal Regional Auxillary is working to honor the memory of lost loved ones.
They are providing memory boxes to any family who experiences the loss of an infant while at Hannibal Regional Hospital.
The bereavement box is filled with items that become treasured keepsakes to the family.
This year the James O'Donnell Funeral Home partnered with Hannibal Regional Auxiliary to continue providing these precious keepsakes to families.
"This is just a small token of how we can provide comfort for their loss," said Bob Schreiner with Hannibal Regional Auxillary.
"No matter the short duration of a life they make a huge impact on a family and that's why they can continue to remember that child for the rest of their lives," said Jimmy O'Donnell with O'Donnell Funeral Home.
The Auxiliary has more than 240 members and donates approximately 25,000 hours of service each year.
