Seven-time Emmy-Award winner Ed Asner will perform a one-man comedic stage reading this Saturday at Hannibal High School.

The play is called "A Man and His Prostate."

Asner's longtime friend and collaborator, Ed Weinberger, wrote the story.

It's about a disease that afflicts nearly a quarter of a million American men every year.

KHQA spoke with Asner about his greatest accomplishment in life.

"Withstanding death has been my greatest achievement," Asner explained. "Each day, I tell myself, 'I will not die. I will not die.' I don't know how long I can keep it up, but it's certainly worth the effort so far."

You can watch Asner perform "A Man and His Prostate" this Saturday at 7:30 p.m. at Hannibal High School.

Tickets are on sale now and range from $25 to $45.

You can participate in an after-show meet and greet for an additional $15.

You can buy tickets online or by calling (573) 719-3226 .

“At age 88, Ed Asner is a remarkable example of how vibrant today’s seniors can be," Bluff City Theater Executive Director Joe Anderson said. "He delivers this show with a skilled comedic timing that leaves audiences in tears from laughing.”
