One Class at a Time September 2016: Donna Woodard

Donna Woodard has been teaching for 21 years and she's seen a lot of incredible things, but winning the One Class at a Time left her at a loss for words.

"Well I am just speechless," said Dr. Woodard.

Woodard is a teacher at Hannibal High School.

The grant will be used for Woodard's physics and chemistry students in her class.

It will allow her to purchase element models and new books.

Her class was equally excited to see her win the grant and say the new class materials will help with her one-on-one teaching style.

"If I need help I know she is right there and I know she is going to help me because a lot of people don't have the time," explained Hannibal High School student, Kaylee Powell.

Woodard says for other teachers considering applying, why not give it a shot - what do you have to lose?

"Just apply," said Dr. Woodard.

KHQA would like to congratulate Dr. Woodard and thank our sponsors Continental Cement, Green America Recycling and ETC Computerland.
