What to know for Tuesday's Primary Election in Illinois

Many Illinois residents plan to cast their vote for Tuesday’s Primary Election.

Adams County Clerk and Recorder Chuck Venvertloh says there is still time to register.

Unregistered voters can register at the courthouse Tuesday, but they must vote there if they do so.

If you're unsure of where to vote, Venvertloh says there are several ways to check.

"If you don't know, you can go on the state's website or on the county clerk’s website and find out, or even just call the office and we can tell you. Typically, it will be on your voter card and it will be on our website and the states website,” said Venvertloh.

Polls open at 6 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

Venvertloh encourages you to plan for extra time at the polls as lines could be long in the morning, at lunch time and after regular work hours.
