At its October meeting, the Natural Resources Advisory Board (NRAB) voted to recommend two changes to the Illinois Department of Natural Resource's waterfowl zone and season dates proposal.

IDNR is in the process of developing zone lines and season dates for the next five years (2016-2020 seasons).

Director Wayne Rosenthal will make the Department's recommendation, which is due to the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Dec. 1, 2015.

NRAB recommends the line between the North and Central Zones remain the same.

The board also recommends season opening dates for the South Central Zone be moved to the Saturday closest to Nov. 5 each year.

The proposals can be viewed here: IDNR's original proposal and Changes recommended by NRAB.

The public can submit comments on the recommendations by emailing: DNR.DuckTalk@illinois.gov

Comments will be accepted through November 24th.
