Two juveniles hospitalized after crash involving a semi-truck
Two juveniles were sent to the hospital after their vehicle was rear ended by a semi-truck.
The crash happened just after 3 p.m. Thursday afternoon on US 24 1 miles east of Mt. Sterling, Illinois.
According to the Illinois State Police, the driver of the semi-truck failed to reduce his speed when the juveniles' vehicle slowed down to make a turn.
The vehicle was sent into oncoming traffic and struck by a 3rd vehicle.
A 16-year old male and a 12 year old female, both from Mt. Sterling, were taken to Blessing Hospital with serious injuries.
