UPDATE: Two hospitalized after being ejected in an early morning rollover crash

According to the Adams County Sheriff's Department the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Highway 96 about a half-mile from the 36th and Payson Road intersection.

Two men are in serious condition after they were ejected from their vehicle in a rollover crash on Highway 96 just east of 36th street in Quincy Sunday morning.

In a release from the Adams County Sheriff's Department, it states Cameron Price, 20 of Louisiana, MO was traveling eastbound when he attempted to to pass another vehicle.

When passing that vehicle Price nearly struck a westbound vehicle traveling on Payson Road.

Price overcorrected to get back into his lane, lost control, and hit a ditch causing the vehicle to flip and go airborne several times according to the release.

Both the driver and passenger Tyler Rumple, 21 of Versailles, MO were ejected from the vehicle and were transported to Blessing Hospital with Serious Injuries.

Price is being charged for, No Valid Drivers License and Illegal Lane Usage.

Price has pending charges for, Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol.

One man was ejected from his vehicle after it struck an embankment and overturned Sunday morning.

According to the Adams County Sheriff's Department the crash happened just before 12:30 a.m. on Highway 96 about a half-mile east from the 36th and Payson Road intersection.

Deputies say two people were in the car when the crash happened.

According to ACSD the vehicle was traveling eastbound when it veered off the roadway and into a ditch.

The vehicle struck an embankment causing it to overturn and land in a nearby field.

Both occupants in the car were transferred to Blessing Hospital.

A stretch of Highway 96 was closed for approximately one hour.

Deputies say the accident is an on-going investigation and more information will be released when it is avaliable.
