The Ralls County Sheriff's Office said Thursday that law enforcement identified and arrested two suspects this week.

An 18-year-old Quincy male and 15-year-old juvenile from New London, MO were arrested and charged with making a false bomb report on Wednesday, October 4th.

Personnel from the Ralls County Sheriff's Office and other agencies responded to the Mark Twain School Campus at 21622 Highway 19 for a reported bomb threat on Monday.

Bomb detection dogs were brought in and after a thorough sweep of the building it was determined the threat was a hoax.

"The safety of our children is paramount and so we take these threats seriously." Chief Deputy Ronald Haught said.

Investigators from the Ralls County Sheriff's Office quickly launched a criminal investigation into the matter.

"We are proud of the remarkable work done by our investigators to quickly identify and apprehend the suspects involved," Ralls County Sheriff Gerry Dinwiddie said
