Tri-State man arrested for distribution of child pornography

Nathan W Caldwell of Quincy is accused of distribution of child pornography

Nathan W. Caldwell, 21, of Quincy, was arrested Wednesday for distribution of child pornography.

Quincy Police detectives initiated an investigation about a local man being in possession of child pornography.

The investigation was based off of a tip from the Attorney General's Office Internet Crimes Against Children division.

Caldwell appeared in Adams County Court Thursday morning and was charged with three counts of Child Pornography.

Caldwell worked as a daycare worker at St. Peters School and also volunteered around children at Blessed Sacrament School up until his arrest.

We have no evidence whatsoever that any students at St. Peter Daycare had been photographed or harmed in any way. The matter will continue to be investigated but at this time, we do not believe they have been harmed," Adams County State's Attorney Gary Farha told KHQA on Thursday.

If convicted, Caldwell faces 90 years in prison on all three counts.

His next court appearance is November 13th.
