The Yum Factory is bringing out the artist in you

January paint night

When you think of The Yum Factory in Quincy you might immediately think sweets.

But that's not all it has to offer.

The store recently added a monthly paint night event.

Owner Melanie Aitken says this is just one more event to get people out of their homes and into the community.

"You are building self esteem. You come in here not an artist and you walk out of here an artist and on top of it you have a product. For the money that you spend to do a paint class, not only did you have a fun night, you maybe brought some drinks, you had some chocolate from here, and you come home with a product that you made yourself," said Aitken.

This month's paint night is Saturday, January 12th, from 5:30 pm to 8:00 pm.

Below is the painting you will be doing on the 12th.

Call (217) 209-0177 to reserve your spot.

It's $40 per person.

The Yum Factory provides all materials and some chocolate.

The event is also B.Y.O.B if you are interested.
