Special needs students voted Homecoming King and Queen

Special needs seniors voted Homecoming King and Queen.

As part of Homecoming week, the students of Monroe City High School voted for their Homecoming royalty.

Queen Lauren Peters and King Chase Buckman are two special needs seniors who received a standing ovation at Friday night's football game.

Chase Buckman is also on the football team and has been team manager for three years.

The Monroe City Panthers were up 48-0 with less than four minutes left in the game.

That's when the Paris Coyotes allowed Buckman to score a 39-yard touchdown run.
