Slick and Snowy roads cause multiple slide-offs on area roads

A jack-knifed semi could be seen on Highway 61 North of Palmyra Monday evening.

Slick road conditions have caused multiple slide-offs in the Tri-States, including a flipped van and a jack-knifed semi just north of Palmyra on Highway 61 Monday evening.

KHQA's storm runner driver says crews have been really good about getting out to salt the roads, so conditions are improving, but drivers will want to be extra cautious on area roads with slick conditions and snowy weather in the area.

Missouri State Highway Patrol says it responded to dozens of crashes, and in the Kansas City area, at least two of them turned deadly, as a light but persistent snow bore down on the Midwest Monday.
