Search warrant leads to multiple drug arrests in Hannibal
HANNIBAL, MO —
Four people will now face multiple drug charges after the Hannibal Police Department's Anti-Crime Enforcement Squad (ACES) executed a search warrant Tuesday.
Thirty-one year old Christie Cox, 22-year-old Shawna Brothers, 27-year-old Jessy Brown and 32-year-old Sean Gibbons were arrested at 1812 Broadway in Hannibal after a large amount of a substance testing positive for methamphetamine, a small amount of a substance believed to be heroin and numerous items of drug paraphernalia were found.
All those facing charges are Hannibal residents.
Cox was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and possession of heroin.
Brothers was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine and unlawful use of drug paraphernalia.
Brown was arrested for distribution of methamphetamine, unlawful use of drug paraphernalia and a warrant for probation violation.
Gibbons was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and a warrant for probation violation.
According to a press release from HPD, Cox and Brothers were placed on 24-hour holds pending review by the Marion County Prosecuting Attorney.
Brown and Gibbons were held on probation violations with further charges submitted for review.
