Runners put on their best Santa suit for 5k

Runners in Louisiana, Missouri put on their best 'Santa suit' and running shoes for the Santa Run on Saturday morning.

Over 50 participated in the fundraiser.

Runners had the option of running or walking the mile, 5K or 10K trail.

The race started at the Illinois side of the bridge at the marina and crossed over the bridge.

This will be the last time a race will take place over the old Champ Clark Bridge.

"This is a fun event. Like I said I've been running for 15 years, when you run across the Mississippi River it's pretty cool. I'm five years removed from Boston, so you don't get to run the Mississippi River very often," said Ken Lane who participated in the 10K.

The run raises money for the Twin Pike Family YMCA.
