KHQA has confirmed that Emergency personnel are actively searching the Mississippi River for two commercial fishermen who failed to return home Tuesday.

The fishermen’s truck is parked at DuPont Reservation Conservation Area in northern Pike County, Missouri.

At least 8 rescue boats and around 30 volunteers and law enforcement are involved in the search, being deployed from DuPont and from the riverfront in Louisiana.

Pike County Deputy Sheriff Chad Perkins says authorities received a "ping" from one of the missing's cell phone around 11:15 a.m. Tuesday night and searched the area extensively, but did not find anything.

Additional boats and search teams are on their way to assist in the search and rescue.

One of the boaters is from Saverton, the other is reportedly from Quincy.
