Quincy man arrested in connection to domestic disturbance

Deandre M. Hobson arrested Christmas Eve morning following disturbance.

A Quincy man is behind bars following a domestic disturbance early Christmas Eve morning.

Officers were dispatched to Quincy Fire Station #5 on Jackson Street at 2:45 a.m. December 24 in response to a past disturbance.

They found a 34-year-old woman who said her boyfriend hit her with a firearm after leaving a nightclub in the 900 block of Hampshire.

After returning to their home, the victim said she was able to get away and go to the fire department for help.

She was treated and released at Blessing Hospital for moderate injuries.

Police conducted a search of the victim's home in the 1100 block of Adams Street at 9:10 a.m. Christmas Eve.

They found a handgun with a scratched off serial number and ammunition.

Officers found and arrested Deandre M. Hobson, 34, at that residence.

He was taken to the Adams County Jail.

Hobson is currently on felony probation for a 2014 conviction for aggravated DUI and a 2015 conviction for obstructing justice.

He was currently out on bond for a separate 2017 felony arrest for aggravated domestic battery.
