Quincy man arrested for child pornography distribution

    Joshua Martin, Quincy, was arrested for child pornography distribution

    The Quincy Police Department reports the arrest of Joshua A. Martin, 35, 516 Oak Street, for Distribution of Child Pornography.

    An investigation began in November 2018, after multiple cyber tips were generated in regards to a user sharing child pornography and child erotica through various social media platforms.

    The cyber tips were processed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, in conjunction with the Illinois Attorney General's Office, and then forwarded to QPD for investigation.

    On March 6, 2019 at 3 p.m., Quincy detectives executed a search warrant at 516 Oak Street.

    At that time, resident Joshua Martin, 35, was taken into custody and transported to the Quincy Police Department.

    He was taken to the Adams County Jail.
