QFD responds to vehicle and garage fire

QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) — A vehicle caught on fire in the 700 block of Madison on Thursday.

Upon arrival, the Quincy Fire Department encountered a vehicle fully involved next to a garage that also showed flames.

First-arriving companies extinguished the flames in both the vehicle and the garage.

Officials say the vehicle is a total loss and the garage suffered only minor damage.

A nearby home also had a small amount of heat damage resulting in melted siding.

No injuries occurred at the scene and no one will be displaced.
