Pizza restaurant closes for good in Quincy after opening in June 2015

Imo's in Quincy has closed its doors for good in less than a year under new ownership.

Owner Cheryl Patton said she locked the doors around 4:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Patton has been the owner since January 1, 2017.

She purchased the store from the original franchisees who brought the "Square beyond compare" to Quincy in June 2015.

Patton said business was too slow to continue operations.

"If someone wanted to buy the franchise, they still could but they would have to act fast," she explained. "Otherwise it's our intention to liquidate the equipment in the next couple days."

Patton will continue to operate her Troy, Mo location.
