Pella and Vaughan to bring new jobs to McDonough County
MCDONOUGH COUNTY, IL —
New jobs are coming to McDonough County as two manufacturing companies will now expand their operations.
Vaughan & Bushnell Manufacturing Company (Vaughan) acquired Dasco Pr, Inc. (Dasco) Tuesday.
Dasco is located in Rockford, Illinois and is an industry leader in the production of hand forged chisels and punches.
The manufacturing of these tools will now be done in Bushnell at the existing Vaughan plant.
Vaughan states this acquisition could create up to twenty new jobs.
Dasco's products will continue to be sold by Vaughan under the Dasco name.
Vaughan produces hammers and striking tools.
Pella is also announcing a new expansion in McDonough County.
Window and door manufacturer Pella announced Wednesday that the production of the 250 Series product is now transferring from their Murray, Kentucky facility to their Macomb, Illinois facility.
Pella states the facility in Macomb has the space available for the production and a favorable labor market for hiring.
Macomb plant manager Kyle Recker says in a release sent by the company that Pella will be hiring 100-120 new team members, adding three production lines, and an insulated glass production department.
Hiring for production is set to begin this summer.
