Oktoberfest celebrates Quincy's German heritage
A fun, family tradition continues in Quincy as Rotary Club's Oktoberfest returns to The District.
The fifth year of the festival aims to celebrate Quincy's rich German heritage, focusing on the area known as Calf Town, and also Dicks Brewery.
Tours were held of the brewery itself and the tunnels that lace the ground underneath the establishment.
"Oktoberfest is where everyone comes out, has a good time, throw all your cares away. Come out here, drink some beers, and have a great time, great comradery, the Rotary Club does a great thing, rock on," said Rusty Williams.
New this year, The Rotary Club held a special German dinner, and they hope to continue to expand the event more and more each year.
