New location for Advocacy Network for Children
The Advocacy Network for Children has recently moved to a new location.
The new Child Advocacy Center is located at 1420 Harrison Street in Quincy.
It was purchased through a foundation formed several years ago with community support.
Todd Shackleford, the Executive Director for the Advocacy Network for Children, says the new office will provide a more comfortable place for the children.
"The environment we want to create is for kids to come in and say, hey this isn't a police station, this isn't a doctor's office, this isn't a court house, this is a place that is kid friendly. This is a place where I belong and can be myself," Shackleford said.
The Advocacy Network for Children provides programs for abused and neglected children of the community.
