Thursday morning at 6:43 a.m., a structure fire occurred at 333 Westwood Drive in Kahoka, Missouri.
On arrival, the Kahoka Fire Department saw smoke coming from the front of the house with flames visible in the front door and front windows. Firefighters attacked the doorway until they could make a safe entrance into the home.
Heavy fire damage was found in the entryway and the living room along with smoke damage throughout the rest of the house.
The five members of the household were transported to Scotland County Memorial Hospital for evaluation. The Red Cross has been notified of the event and is attempting to make contact with the family.
The Kahoka Police Department, Clark County Ambulance, and Clark County Dispatch assisted with the fire along with volunteer firefighters.
