MO Senator says safety and culture important in gun safety discussion

We spoke with U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill about the current state of gun violence here is the U.S.

Senator McCaskill spoke with KHQA about the need for gun safety in order to protect people and their rights.

The Senator from Missouri says she understands the importance of guns to America's culture.

She also says safety for all is important.

"I understand how important the Second Amendment is to so many Missourians, but there is nothing that we would do to harm the Second Amendment if we just did some gun safety measures," says McCaskill.

Senator McCaskill said she was a fan of some of the things President Trump discussed at a meeting he held earlier this week, but she's not sure if he will stick to those stances.
