Man accused in 2015 murder appears in court following hung jury trial

    A man accused of killing a Quincy man in November 2015 appeared in Adams County court Wednesday morning.

    Steven Gavin’s attorney Drew Schnack told Judge Robert Adrian that he plans to file a change of venue motion for the next murder trial.

    Gavin is accused of fatally shooting Carlous Wires Sr. twice in the head in Wires’ home.

    A jury trial for the case ended in a hung jury last week.

    Gavin also is accused of one count of armed robbery.

    A motion hearing is set for March 15th at 9 a.m.
