Keokuk man arrested following vehicle theft
Nauvoo, Illinois —
Nauvoo Police Department Chief of Police Mike Boley, reports the arrest of Abre Allen Kay, 33, of Keokuk, IA.
Kay was arrested on Monday January 7, 2019 and charged with two counts of Burglary, Unlawful Possession of a Stolen Vehicle, Unlawful Possession of Methamphetamine, and Criminal Damage to Property.
Kay’s arrest comes as the result of an investigation by the Nauvoo Police Department in to the theft of two motor vehicles that occurred in Nauvoo during the early hours of January 5, 2019 and January 6, 2019.
The subsequent investigation also resulted in the recovery of both vehicles that had been reported stolen.
Kay is being held in the Hancock County, Illinois Jail in lieu of a $50,000 bond.
