UPDATE: Hannibal police respond to shooting; multiple people in custody

UPDATED January 21st at 10:20 a.m.

Four suspects have been placed on 24-hour holds in connection to the Sunday night report of a robbery in Hannibal.

Will A Sewell, 20, and Davion S Tate, 19, both of Hannibal, were placed on 24-hour holds for Robbery 2nd Degree.

Noah J Zahn, 20 of Hannibal, was placed on a 24-hour hold for Assault 1st Degree.

Sewell, Tate and Zahn are being held in the Marion County Jail pending prosecutor review.

A 15-year-old male juvenile was also charged with Assault 1st Degree and is being held in juvenile detention.

The Hannibal Police Department was assisted in this investigation by the Marion County Sheriff’s Office and the Missouri State Highway Patrol. This investigation is ongoing with further arrests pending.


Hannibal police responded to the area of 4th and Hill Streets at 8:29 p.m. Sunday for a report of a robbery and possible shots fired.

Officers later located and detained four subjects a short distance from the scene.

Two of the subjects were transported to area hospitals for injuries.

The other two subjects were taken into custody and transported to the police department.

An investigation is ongoing.
