Hannibal Police and the Missouri State Fire Marshall's Office are now looking into who's responsible for starting a house fire early this morning in Hannibal.

After an investigation Thursday morning, the vacant house fire has been ruled arson.

The Hannibal Fire Department responded to a vacant structure fire in the 2300 block of Hope Street.

The call came in around 5:30 Thursday morning.

The Hannibal Fire Department tells KHQA there were no injuries.

Witnesses say it's not the first one in the neighborhood.

Deputy Chief Benjamin says the structure is a total loss with minor damage to an adjacent home.

The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Office of the State Fire Marshal.
