Hannibal crash sends woman through windshield.

The Hannibal Police Department responded to a crash involving a pedestrian Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened at the intersection of Hope Street and South Griffith Street in Hannibal.

Eyewitnesses say the crash was a result of a fight between two women.

Several other people were present during when the altercation escalated.

The Hannibal Police Department says a vehicle drove through the crowd and struck a female.

Witnesses tell KHQA the woman flew over a pickup truck and fell through the windshield of a parked white car.

The victim was taken to the hospital by Survival Flight.

The 17-year-old driver of the vehicle left the scene.

Officials report she was later located and arrested.

Hannibal Fire Department, Ralls County EMS, Ralls County Sheriff's Office, Marion County Sheriff's Office and Missouri State Highway Patrol assisted with the incident.

The incident is still under investigation.
