QUINCY, Ill. — John Wood Community College kicked off its first day of classes Monday.
The college reports a 2.9 percent increase in fall enrollment this year.
Students and faculty alike said they're excited for what the year brings.
“We have had a number of employees, both faculty and staff come forward with a number of creative ideas and creative initiatives that we've implemented," John Wood president Mike Elbe said. "That is making an impact on our growth."
Elbe said facility upgrades are planned in the future.
