Firefighters battled a massive house fire in rural Bowling Green, Missouri Wednesday night.

According to Ethan Colbert with Bowling Green Times, crews had to block off the drive away and area near the house because of the size of the fire.

The homeowners said they found the house on fire shortly after 10 p.m.

One witness told KHQA the fire could be seen from U.S. 61.

The house is a total loss.
