Earthquakes in the Tri-States

Earthquakes can be felt in the Tri-States from a very active fault line in southern Missouri.

KHQA Meteorologist Nick Stewart travels to the seismic zone and unearths what makes earthquakes in the Tri-States unique.

"There's about 100 to 150 earthquakes a year that hit on the New Madrid Seismic Zone," says Jeff Grunwald, Administrator at the New Madrid Historical Museum.
