Earth Fest held in Macomb

Despite the weather Macomb Residents got out to Chandler Park to celebrate Earth Day.

The WIU Horn Environmental Learning Project hosted the event, calling it Earth Fest.

The event was free and featured Live bands, environmental speakers, arts, crafts, and earth friendly activities for all ages.

Andy Pletch is in charge of organizing the event and says the goal was to remind people how important it is to take care of our environment.

It's all about just giving back to nature, and raising awareness about why the earth is important and why we should, give back to the earth, take care of the environment.-Andy Pletch

The weather did put a bit of a damper on things, but hopefully next year will have clear sunny skies.
