Christmas Carolers fill Washington Park with seasonal singing
Hundreds of people gathered in Quincy's Washington Park to sing Christmas carols, Thursday.
Those who turned out enjoyed such classics as Jingle Bells.
Thursday's 'Thankful Thursday' event is sponsored by The District and a partnership with area arts.
"You know the district is putting on this event to bring people to this area. Remind them to shop local. But also to remind them to be a community," Laura Sievert with Arts Quincy said. "When we sing together we become a community together and I think that's what the beauty of the holidays and the arts are all about."
Next up: The Quincy Public Library Marionette Show, Quincy Perocial Music Association Concert, and QHS Vespers; and all those events are free.
