Candle light vigil for Reid Brewer
The Tri-State Community came together to send their love and say goodbye to a 7-year-old superhero.
At age 4, Reid Brewer was diagnosed with a deadly form of childhood cancer called Neuroblastoma.
The cancer was widespread throughout his entire body.
Sunday morning, Reid lost his 2 year battle.
A prayer vigil was held at the Bushnell VFW Park to remember this little super hero.
"He's my brother. He's my hero, my superhero. He's amazing. I don't know what else to say, I mean, he's a fighter," says Reid's sister Tammie Brewer.
A fighter who made the most of each day.
His family says Reid was loved by everyone he met and above all, he was a great kid..
"Reid was a very energetic child, he loved to have fun, he loved to run around and play video games. He was a very typical 7 year old boy, when he could be. He loved life and loved people. People loved him," said Reid's grandparents Charles and Peggy Bowen.
Friends say Reid's mission has always been to help others.
He frequently donated money to other local pediatric cancer families that are in need.
