Marvin Leo "Jay" Kirby was sentenced in a Hancock County courtroom last Friday.

Kirby, a Bowen, IL resident, had an existing felony from 2016 where he pleaded guilty on October 16th to Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse, a class 2 Felony.

Following that charge, he was put on probation for 24 months.

While on probation, Kirby was again arrested last November on a warrant for Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse.

He was accused of having sexual contact with a female minor who at the time of the offense was at least age 13 but under age 17.

On Friday, Kirby pleaded guilty to 7 counts of Aggravated Criminal Sexual Abuse and his original probation was revoked.

He was sentenced to 10 consecutive years for each count.

An additional 7 years was added to his sentence in relation to the violation of probation regarding the 2016 case.
