Quincy Symphony Chorus: Eternal Light and Love
Saturday, Nov. 3 7:30-9:30 pm at Salem Church, 435 S 9th St.
The Quincy Symphony Chorus celebrates the beauty of life with their Eternal Light & Love concert, conducted by Dr. Phyllis Robertson. Performed in memory of Quincy musician Robert Bedell, this music will surround the audience with love, healing, and hope. The transcendent "Eternal Light: A Requiem" by Howard Goodall offers peace for those living with grief. Individual concert tickets are $18 for adults and $15 for senior citizens. Quinsippi Needleworkers Stitch In
Saturday, Nov. 3 10 am-12 pm at Quincy Public Library
Quinsippi Needleworkers invite stitchers from beginners to experts to participate in a monthly "Stitch-In" on the first Saturday of each month from 10 am-12 pm noon at the Quincy Public Library. During the meeting, members work on whatever they wish while socializing and assisting each other on whatever their stitching may be. Veteran's Art Show
The month of November at the Illinois Veteran's Home
Arts Quincy, Quincy Art Center and the Illinois Veterans Home invite area veterans and civilians to submit artwork in Veterans Day Art Show that will be on display this November! Entries are free to participants who created pieces this year in the watercolor, clay or printmaking classes of Made In America: Veterans Art Program. The show is also open to any artist from the region who has served in the military or civilians who have done a patriotic work. Artists may submit up to three works in any medium. All works must be original and have been completed within the last three years. Entries may be dropped off at the Arts Quincy office any time before Friday, Nov. 2. The public is also invited to a special Veterans Day service at 10 am on Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Illinois Veterans Home. For more information visit or call the Arts Quincy office at 217-222-3432.
