Apple Festival kicks off in Griggsville
Fall means apples, and in Griggsville they have become a tradition.
The Griggsville Apple festival started when people in the community all started making apple pies at the same time.
Today, its a week long event with rides, foods of all kinds, and a car competition.
The event goes up and down the down town are.
One thing that the people of Griggsville look forward to is David and Lonas old fashioned ice cream, because it reminds them of the past.
"Because it tastes really good, it's really good ice cream, I use old hit and miss motors to make it with, and they fluff the ice cream up really good, and it just gives it a really good flavor, a lot of older people it reminds them of the past." David says.
The event runs until next Saturday.
