One person shot at 11th and Jefferson Street in Quincy
QUINCY, Ill. (KHQA) — The Quincy Police Department responded to the 1100 block of Jefferson Street in Quincy late Wednesday night after a report of shots fired.
When QPD officers arrived, they found a victim with a gunshot wound.
The 47-year-old victim was taken to Blessing Hospital by ambulance and then life-flighted to Springfield, Illinois.
Sergeant Nick Hiland with the Quincy Police Department could not speak to the nature of her injuries.
QPD taped off two areas near the shooting.
One area was The LaGondola Restaurant parking lot and the other was a house where the victim was found.
Hiland said there was some sort of incident in the parking lot and are currently investigating to see if it's related to the shooting.
The Quincy Police Department was assisted by the Adams County Sheriff's Department along with the Illinois State Police.
