St. Louis man arrested following counterfeit money investigation in Marion County

On December 4th, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office, along with assistance from the Palmyra Police Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol, completed an investigation regarding a subject spending counterfeit $20 bills within several businesses in Marion County.

The suspect, Rashad Clayton of St. Louis, Missouri, was arrested and numerous counterfeit $20 bills were recovered, along with misdemeanor amounts of marijuana.

Clayton is currently being housed at Marion County Jail with a $25,000 cash or surety bond.
