Quincy man arrested following child porn investigation

    As previously reported, Martin F. Wiskur was arrested in Quincy on November 28, 2018 following a child pornography investigation.

    The investigation was initiated by the Quincy Police Department in conjunction with the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children and the Illinois Attorney General Office's Internet Crimes Against Children division.

    After Wiskur's arrest, the investigation continued into the possible sexual abuse of any local Quincy children.

    One local child under 13 years of age was identified.

    On Friday morning, Jonathan Hoats was taken into custody without incident near 28th and Broadway.

    Hoats was interviewed by Quincy Police and then processed and lodged in the Adams County Jail for Production/Distribution of Child Pornography and Predatory Criminal Sexual Assault against the previously mentioned child.

    Hoats and Wiskur were previously roommates at 907 Joshua Street in Quincy where some of the abuse was believed to have occurred.

    The investigation continues.
