The Quincy Park District is hoping you 'come out and play' with a new event this weekend.

The Batting Cage Fall Festival kicks off Saturday with mini golf, disc golf and paddleboat activities.

Special challenges are also planned at each activity with a chance to win prizes and coupons for free games. You can also take on the softball and baseball throwing machines at the Quincy Park District batting cages.

While some activities come with a fee, there are also free events for the whole family. Click here to learn more about how this idea originated from KHQA This Morning.

"We want everyone to know we're still open so we decided, 'Hey let's create some fun activities for the whole family to come out to,'" Mike Bruns, Director of Program Services said.

The Batting Cage Fall Festival is this Saturday, September 21 from 1 to 4 p.m. in Upper Moorman Park.

Park District facilities in Upper Moorman Park are open until October 7.
