Democratic candidate Junius Rodriguez speaks about upcoming election

KHQA is going Beyond the Podium with less than a week and a half before voters head to the polls.

On Friday, KHQA spoke to Democrat Junius Rodriguez on the need for more congressional offices. He hopes to snag Illinois' 18th District seat in Congress. He's running against incumbent Republican Darin LaHood.

"I plan on creating a 5th one which I'm going to fund out of my salary. I believe that any constituent, anyone living in this congressional district will be no more than 45 minutes, 45 miles or so away from one of the local congressional offices," said Rodriguez.

Rodriguez faces LaHood in the November 6th midterm election.
