KHQA Hometown Hero Durk continues to spread love by those she leaves behind

Doris Durk is the first recipient of KHQA's Hometown Heroes award, posthumously. Her husband Don accepts the honor on her behalf and tells KHQA's David Amelotti why she was the perfect woman by his side the last 64 years.

KHQA's December Hometown Hero is one KHQA's David Amelotti will never meet. But he now knows who she is from the people and loved ones she's left behind.

She and her husband, Ron, had one child together and fostered more than 170 children since 1980. Doris is the first person to receive this award, posthumously.

On behalf of our sponsors, Hilbing Autobody and Peters Heating and Air Conditioning, we introduce you to Doris with the help of her husband, Ron.
