At least four Tri-State area residents registered to run the Boston Marathon.
Joshua Sherwood, 23, from Quincy, Ill.; Jeri Conboy, 61, from Palmyra, Mo.; Keith Schluter, 54, from Macomb, Ill. and Christopher Trone, 56, from Rushville, Ill. are all listed as runners on the Boston Athletic Association website.
KHQA has confirmed that all of them are safe.
Friends have heard from Sherwood who finished the race before the explosions. His listed time is 3:46:24.
Schluter is also listed as a finisher with an official time of 3:59:00.
Trone's time is listed as 3:39:02.
Conboy is listed at the 40K split as having a time of 4:01:47.
"I was about 3/10 of a mile from the finish line when we heard the explosion, and they stopped the race," Conboy said. "Anyone who was behind me didn't finish."
Conboy said she did not see the explosions first-hand and that she used a stranger's cell phone to let loved ones know that she was okay.
