TONY DEGRAVE RESIGNS AS MONROE CITY HEAD FOOTBALL COACH
For just the third time since 1979.....the Monroe City Football Program is set to hire a new head coach.
KHQA learned today that after a ten year run, program alum Tony DeGrave is resigning his teaching and coach positions with the school to become a Principal in the Marion County School District.
DeGrave's tenure ends with a 36 and 39 lifetime record in Title Town, including a high water mark District Playoff Win over Powerhouse Centralia in the 2011 season.
A source tells us it's a family first move into administration for DeGrave. No word on possible replacements yet other than we are told that well thought of Panther Assistant and Carthage alum Brock Edris isn't expected to make himself a candidate for the head coaching position.
