Minor injuries in school bus versus semi accident

Two people were injured after a school bus accident Monday night in Ralls County, Missouri.

According to the Ralls County Sheriff's department, a Monroe City school bus was crossing Route J onto Highway 36, heading west back to Monroe City.

Authorities say the bus driver misjudged the distance and hit the side of a semi. The call came in just after 7:30 p.m.

The Ralls County Sheriff's department said the injuries were minor.

The bus was returning from a sporting event. Police said students, administrators and the driver were on the bus at the time.

Parents were called to pick-up their children.
